I have over 15 years of experience in the design and creative realm, often serving as a lead and director. I have worked in a variety of industry types and environments including agency, B2B, B2C, and corporate. I became interested in this type of career while in high school, discovering that it came naturally to me. My career has taken me many places and I’ve worked with all kinds of clients, from small photography studios to large state run commissions and global technology companies. I specialize in print design, digital and social campaigns, web design, photographic retouching, illustration, animation, and video production.

What I Bring to the Table

TO START, FORMAL EDUCATION

My creative life started at a young age but my curiosity  and interest in this career really bloomed in high school. I then set off to get my Bachelors in Fine Art in Visual Communications, with a concentration in Graphic Design. Mission accomplished!

OVER 15 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Hands on experience is the best way to learn, and I have that. Over 15 years actually, in varying industries and environments such as in-house design studios, subcontracting, corporate, and agency.

IT’S IN THE DETAILS

Meticulous is my middle name. Well, no it’s not but it should be! I take pride in my work and how that reflects on my clients as well as myself.

BEING ORGANIZED IS MY THING

You will always set yourself up for success when you are organized from the beginning and stay that way.

PRINT DESIGN THROUGH PRODUCTION

This is where I started as a designer and, over the decade plus, I’ve continued to enhance those skills. I’ve even worked in several print houses so I understand the ins and outs of how to follow a project from the first idea through final production and delivery. My favorite type of print pieces are the challenging ones. Sure I can do a flat postcard, but why not make it fun and engaging with a complex folding self-mailer and add some pizazz with a white ink overlay or high contrast spot varnish?

COOL DESIGN MEETS VARIABLE DATA

Variable data isn’t a foreign phrase to me. In fact, it’s part of my everyday vocabulary. Automation and making tedious projects easier has been something I’ve been doing for years. Just because you have thousands of postcards to mail or hundreds of table signs to process with unique information, doesn’t mean it has to be heavy lifting.

VIDEO KILLED… NOTHING. IT’S GREAT!

Want to do a video? I can help you with that. From concept and storyboarding, through directing of the shoot, and compiling the assets for post production and final video output, I’m your gal.

PHOTOGRAPHIC MS. FIXIT

Photography has been an interest and hobby for me for as long as I can remember. While that initially captured art is wonderful in itself, we live in an age where we can make things even more perfect, and I can do that. Photographic retouching, while timely, is quite enjoyable for me. I think it connects back to that meticulous nature thing.

UI AND UX DESIGN

This is a part of every design, not matter what you’re creating. I design experiences. It could be a print piece or website, or anything else for that matter. It’s all an experience for the end user.
